Hello KFMA Students and Parents, The Annual Gold Coast Open event is now open for registration. This prestigious event will be taking place on the 2nd and 3rd May 2026 at the Carrara Indoor Stadium. KFMA competed last year with a small team that brought home a nice cache of medals for poomsae events. KFMA held the last grading of the year on 11th December 2025. I was pleased to see the high level of skill and etiquette as high as it has ever been. The school hall was booked last Thursday, so we’ve moved our pattern test to Tuesday, December 9th. It was exciting to be able to finally have a Hapkido grading, with 6 students approved to grade. For 5 students this was their first Hapkido grading and a very new experience. We have put in lots of time in preparation for this. It was great to see that all my grading students are on the right path, adjusting from Taekwondo to Hapkido.
